The Highly-Trainable and Lovely Labrador Retrievers
They say that dogs are man’s best friends because they will do just about anything that their masters want them to do. It is most especially true with the lovely Labrador Retrievers. They are the most highly-trainable animals in the planet, that can efficiently retain and follow orders unlike other animals, which can forget what has been taught to them in just a few minutes after training.
A Labrador’s Huge Appetite
As a counterpart for Thanksgiving in America, there is the Christmas Dinner in England. Every year, you might have read about a dog who ate an English family’s dinner, desserts, decorations, and/or some of the gifts. The culprit usually winds up being a Labrador Retriever. It is because their kind seems to have the biggest appetite. Although they can consume a huge amount of food, most of them actually just vomit them all back up.
Expensive Taste for Food
Our lovely Labrador Retrievers also have great tastes for food. They just don’t eat up anything they see, they also choose what to put in their mouths, like Lulu. In April of 2002, she chose her owner’s $1500 (US) Gucci watch. An operation successfully removed the watch but not her appetite. Good thing that someone saw and stopped her, for her next expensive taste for food was about to be a diamond engagement ring.
Meat in the Poo
Most dogs, do not pass up with any cat’s droppings, which include Labrador Retrievers. Cats cannot digest all their food, hence, their poo always still has meat in it. And with dogs’ great sense of smell, they would certainly know when they smell one. However, this can be dangerous to your Labrador especially if the cat is on medication or something.
Food is Anything that Smells
Given the circumstances that Labrador Retrievers are treated as house members, they will also act like one. They will explore anything that comes their way around the house and curious as they are, they can always find a way to open stuff in the house. It would be better to put away all poisonous substances from their range of smell and reach because anything that has smell is food for them.
Sometimes, we do forget where we place stuff in the house no matter how organized we are. Therefore, it is advised to always keep a vet’s number at hand when the situation arises that our lovely Labrador Retrievers wobble up something that they should not be.
