Nowadays, Choco-Colored Lab puppies have been in high demand in the dog breeding market. Compared to black and yellow lab pups, a chocolate lab pup has the most unique color which is fast becoming a fashion trend for Labrador breeders and buyers alike. It has been forecasted that there will be more Choco-Colored Lab puppies born and registered by 2018 compared to its other colored lab pups. At present, it cannot be denied that the ever cute and loving choco pups have been attracting not only buyers and breeders but alarmingly internet crooks as well.
Internet Scams
There are numerous dog breeding scams in the internet. These scams usually involve purebred puppies, among them are Yorkshire Terriers, English Bulldogs and most of all Choco-Colored Lab Puppies which are variations of the commonly called “pay ahead scam”. In this scam, you see an ad or notice in an online bulletin or the classifieds section of a website where purebred Choco-Colored Lab Puppies are given away for FREE due to the owner’s early demise or another tragic circumstance that would make it impossible for the current owners to keep the dog. You don’t have to do anything but to send money for the puppy’s transportation to you and everything else will be taken cared of.
Do not be duped by advertisements such as these, as they are never bound to be true. If you take the bait, you will just end up wiring a certain amount to an overseas bank with no “free dog” in return. Once you have sent the money, you will never hear from them again and it is quite impossible to track down the source of an overseas bank address nor the owner of the account. Remember, do not pay out for anything not even a Choco-Colored Lab Puppy unless you have them in your hands first.
In the Name of Charity
Some internet scams take advantage after a natural disaster has happened which falsely advertises to help suffering people and pets alike. One particular mishap that took place was the Hurricane Katrina, where internet crooks represented to be legitimate charities targeting online concerned citizens to give out some money. Unfortunately, the financial help went directly into these scammers pockets and not one single dime reached those people and pets who are suffering.
The most legitimate way for you to donate money to any kind of charity without fear of fraud is to do it the old-fashioned way by sending a check or a money order. Never pay outright with cash because a lot can happen before it gets to the intended charity. Be wary, the charity should not have your contact details such as email address unless you specifically gave out the information and want them to contact you.
If you have been a victim of an internet scam, do not be afraid nor ashamed to admit it to yourself and share your circumstance to the Federal Trade Commission so you can also be of help in putting an end to this criminal activities. It helps to know that not one Choco-Colored Lab Puppies have been harmed at least for now but we can never be sure unless these scammers are caught and prosecuted.
